We are a family company (Blue Diamond Mining Pty Ltd) based in Melbourne Australia, and have been trading since 2001. Originally we had opal mining leases in the 'Opal Creek' district of Western Queensland.

We worked in partnership with 'Puzar Opal Enterprises LTD', manufacturing jewelers of Melbourne.

Our role was in prospecting, mining (using bulldozer and excavators) cutting, and marketing the opal within Australia and Overseas.

After the projects were completed we contracted our own staff to numerous mining companies to gain experience in hard rock mining, with most work being conducted in the gold fields of West Australia.

During this experience of driving haul trucks, operating excavators and other mobile equipment we realized that there was need to educate others, particularly in the eastern states about opportunities in the mining industry. Greatnewcareer.com.au was formed in October 2006.

We are actively involved in assisting job seekers obtain employment in the resources sector. Job seekers who attend our 'Mining Employment Seminar' or 'DVD' are invited to create and upload their resume on to our online database for further assistance.
